What's the difference between a quote and an estimate?

A Quote is a fixed price for a set piece of work. Once you accept it, the price doesn't change unless the scope does.

An Estimate is for work where the hours aren't certain, such as consulting or tracking repair after a website rebuild. It shows the hourly rate, the expected hours and a cap. You're billed for hours actually worked, in 15-minute blocks, never above the cap without your say-so.
